Anonym bruker Skrevet 11. januar 2007 #1 Skrevet 11. januar 2007 Anyone in here who are/has suffered with this?? I have read a bit about it as I fear I have some of the symptoms..How did you know you had it? Did you get rid of it?
3 is the new 2 Skrevet 28. januar 2007 #2 Skrevet 28. januar 2007 I`ve got it, but I haven`t got rid of it. The thing is to cope with it. I`ve got a two year-old, and trying to get pregnant again. I had all the sympoms so when my doctor told me I had it, I wasn`t surprised. There are loads of information about it on the net, but I recommend you make a visit to the doctor`s. Guess my answer wasn`t much help, but pcos isn`t the end of the world and there`s help to get if you ask for it! Good luck!
Anonym bruker Skrevet 29. januar 2007 #3 Skrevet 29. januar 2007 What symptoms did you have? I am going to the doctor in a few weeks to see if there is anything there. Just feel very bloated, got a tash!!!
3 is the new 2 Skrevet 30. januar 2007 #4 Skrevet 30. januar 2007 Overweight, hair popping up where it shouldn`t be, long menstrual cycles etc. I`m the posterchild for pocs.... Couldn`t we continue this conversation at the private "din egen side". You can send me e-mails to my nick.

I will go to the doctor soon to check it out as it is something not right for sure..I will ended up like the bearded lady if the hairgrowth continues..*blushing*
Biga Skrevet 12. februar 2007 #6 Skrevet 12. februar 2007 Hi, I'm PCO's girl as well. I woun't overwrite simptomes one more time, It was diagnosticed for me 3y ago, I had surgeri (small cuts, to let egs out) and after 5 mnth stimulation to get pregnant. And it worked As I know PCO's can't be cured, but it can stop developing (eg after pregnancy). Mine is prtty bad, and it restarted after pregnancy as well, so i don't know, will I ever be able to get one mor baby, but ėven if no, i'm happy, and thankfull to God, that I have my wonderfull son. He is almost 1y already. For me PCO's causes hairgoowth on my chin/neck from under, and this makes me feel really bad. I'm puling out darkest and thikest hairs and that's irretating my skin. So I have red marks, spots and visuable follicules... I don't let noone touch my neck, even my husband
Anonym bruker Skrevet 13. februar 2007 #7 Skrevet 13. februar 2007 Biga, that is how I feel too> My husband has already commented on the mustache, and I think he is a bit worried too that there is something wrong.. I hope you don't mind me asking, are you overweight? As I read it is common in overweight people (and I am not), but that also you can gain a lot of weight from it.. And I must admit, I have gained some (not a lot, but all around my belly and I feel bloated and look pregnant)
Biga Skrevet 21. februar 2007 #8 Skrevet 21. februar 2007 I am a bit overwaight. Not pathalogicly, but stil not slim. One of the reason is hormonal disbalance, coming together with PCOS....
3 is the new 2 Skrevet 22. februar 2007 #9 Skrevet 22. februar 2007 I`ve been both overweight and pretty thin, but the symptoms are still there. And don`t worry about the embarrasing hairgrowth - you can get rid of it! I`ve tried both waxing and lazer, and it works!
Anonym bruker Skrevet 23. februar 2007 #10 Skrevet 23. februar 2007 Bit worried about the waxing part, as I am afraid it will come back twice as heavy??!??!? But have considered laser, as I assume that is a permanent hair removal?
3 is the new 2 Skrevet 23. februar 2007 #11 Skrevet 23. februar 2007 Laser is permanent, yes. But not for all kinds of hair - the dark ugly ones are easy to remove, but the laighter and fairer hair keeps coming back. So I use wax on them, like once a month. Use your fastlege and get advice from him\her - there are other options aswell.
Anonym bruker Skrevet 24. februar 2007 #12 Skrevet 24. februar 2007 Thank you so much for your replies Storkpåavveie?. Nice to get a lot of questions answered and not feeling like a hairy freak. Started wondering if I was turning into a man or something *lol*
3 is the new 2 Skrevet 25. februar 2007 #13 Skrevet 25. februar 2007 I know the feeling... But the most important thing to remember is that you can have children, it just takes a bit longer for us (hence my nick).
Anonym bruker Skrevet 25. februar 2007 #14 Skrevet 25. februar 2007 Thank you, I am going for some tests in a few weeks, and I am sure they will tell me what is wrong then (if anything). If not I guess I am just hairy!! Don't know what is worse, just being hairy or at least have an excuse for it!! Wish you luck in trying to get pregnant.
Biga Skrevet 28. februar 2007 #15 Skrevet 28. februar 2007 I'm thinking about laserepilation as well, now I'm removing darkest pieces myselve, but only with tweezers, In my country I had full body wax in beautysaloon about 1x in mont, but here I live in small vilage, so have to help myselve. For legs I'm using wax at home, but I feel unsecure about touching my neck/under the chin.
Biga Skrevet 28. februar 2007 #16 Skrevet 28. februar 2007 BTW, how sereous does doctors relate about "PCO's girl" will to get pregnant? Do they say that she just have to try and try untill it hapens, or they are giving some medical therapy (stimulating)? Just curious, I'm planing my next baby after some 3-4y and probably I'll be still in Norway at that moment. (I hope, that PCO's progress wount totaly kill my feritility till that time)...
3 is the new 2 Skrevet 2. mars 2007 #17 Skrevet 2. mars 2007 I was told to lose weight, but that didn`t help in my case. After trying to concieve for about 1 year, I was given pergotime - a drug that helps you to ovulate. I got pregnant after a few months, but had a miscarrige. After yet a few months I got pregnant again and gave birth to a perfect and healthy baby. Now I`m trying to get pregnant again, but I`m afraid it`ll take som time giving my 2-year old a brother or sister. But I`m used to that.... If you think you might have pcos, tell the doctor because a simple bloodtest can confirm it, and then you`ll get treatment faster. Good luck!
Anonym bruker Skrevet 4. april 2007 #18 Skrevet 4. april 2007 Thank you so much for your answers... !!!! ;-)
3 is the new 2 Skrevet 18. april 2007 #19 Skrevet 18. april 2007 Guess what!? I`m pregnant!!! Discovered it this morning. So don`t worry - you`ll get pregnant too! It only takes a bit longer for us. Better change my nick now......
Anonym bruker Skrevet 18. april 2007 #20 Skrevet 18. april 2007 CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! I am so happy for you!!! I had a scan of the Uterus last month and they didn't find anything wrong on the X-ray, so now I just have to wait for the Ultrasound... Hopefully it is nothing there (I assume they will see it on these scans right?) (And if it is nothing there, I guess I am just hairy...;-) )
