Anonym bruker Skrevet 28. oktober 2006 #1 Skrevet 28. oktober 2006 We are expecting our 2nd girl in november. I am american, my husbond norwegian. WE are looking for a name that can be pronounced in both languages. Any oppinions on the names: Marielle, Simone, Annabelle or Iselin? Thanks!
Anonym bruker Skrevet 28. oktober 2006 #2 Skrevet 28. oktober 2006 Great names! But if I guess you know that Annabelle wouldn`t be pronounced the same way in both languages? Most Norwegians would pronounce the last -e and change the caracter of the name.
partyoffive Skrevet 28. oktober 2006 #3 Skrevet 28. oktober 2006 And the same goes for Simone and Marielle - most Norwegians will pronounce the last -e in these names too. But they are still great! We have the same situation, Nor/Eng couple w/2 girls. We went with the same style names, that could be pronounced in both languages. I pronounce the -e and my husband does not, no big deal
