miss.alwayssmiling! Skrevet 8. september 2006 #2 Skrevet 8. september 2006 Hey I'm not sure what you mean when you say *as im foreign people if its alow ?* Do you mean if you're allowed to live with him while you're not married?
Anonym bruker Skrevet 9. september 2006 #3 Skrevet 9. september 2006 Hi! As long as you are legally in Norway, you are allowed to be Samboer.
Anonym bruker Skrevet 9. september 2006 #4 Skrevet 9. september 2006 Hei miss.alwayssmiling ... Just now i have residence permit regards working but will be finish march 2007. I wonder if me & bf register as samboer will it be posibble for me to stay in Norway ?? Hope anyone can help me with Info .. Thanks very much
miss.alwayssmiling! Skrevet 9. september 2006 #5 Skrevet 9. september 2006 Hei again, now i understand a bit better;P You have to apply for a new permit anyways. Doesn't matter if you are samboer or not.. make sure you apply for your new permit in good time ahead. Otherwise you might have to leave and then come back. But go down to youe local police station and ask there. (They have there own office at the police station about permits).
gyep Skrevet 25. september 2006 #7 Skrevet 25. september 2006 Hi as long as you live with your boyfriend for 2 years in the same address, you can then apply for a samboer status. like someone said, if you have the legal rights to live in Norway and also living with a norwegian for that 2 years it will be ok usually. good luck!
Anonym bruker Skrevet 25. september 2006 #8 Skrevet 25. september 2006 Hi, like gyep says you will probably be ok to get samboerstatus, but this won't affect whether or not your residence oermit is renewed as it doesn't matter if your living with someone or married. They look at your income and ability to support yourself, you can be denied permits even though you are married. A registered samboerskap gives better rights but is ususally only relevant if you split up.
gyep Skrevet 25. september 2006 #9 Skrevet 25. september 2006 Yes Thank you for pointing that out. Income plays a very important part in Norway. Be it being a independent student as well.
