EJP72 Skrevet 16. august 2006 #1 Skrevet 16. august 2006 I was just wondering if anybody could recommend a good book that describes the whole process of childbirth. I have several pregnancy books but they are really lacking in details regarding what actually happens. I am having my first baby in January and I would like to better prepare myself for what to expect! Thanks!
Gjest Skrevet 16. august 2006 #2 Skrevet 16. august 2006 I mostly read on the internet about it, there are many good sites i got some free books from the jordmor and the doctor i thought they were ok, but you can always look at the book store or on amazon
sarinamor Skrevet 17. august 2006 #3 Skrevet 17. august 2006 There's a book by Sheila Kitzinger (don't remember the name right now)that describes the process very well. It can be found both in norwegian and english. Also, "What to expect when you are expecting" is an excellent book, but you have to order it on amazon, since they don't sell it in Norway.
money9876 Skrevet 2. september 2006 #4 Skrevet 2. september 2006 I liked New Pregnancy and Birth by Dr Miriam Stoppard. Actually she has written loads of books on pregnancy and childbirth, see http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_ss_w_h_/202-9106179-9615023?url=search-alias%3Dstripbooks&field-keywords=miriam+stoppard&Go.x=6&Go.y=11 hope this helps
