Importing a pram via the internet

Hi.

 

Just wondering if any of you have bought a pram from overseas especially via the internet? How did it work with customs and tax etc. I understand that prams are duty free but not sure about VAT (moms).

 

Any help/experience appreciated

Not quite the same, but I bought my travel system overseas as I couldn't find it here in Norway. I carried it in my luggage and made sure that I had split up the receipts so each total was under 5000 NOK - think that was the limit for the green customs lane.

 

If you ship it in I expect you would pay tax and customs clearance charges, so it could be quite pricey. Plus it would take a while to clear customs.

Hi. I can't imagine importing a pram is duty free here. You will probably have to pay VAT and the toll charge in addition to whatever they will charge you to have it clear customs (usually an additional kr. 100-200). Depending in where you are shipping from, it may be just as cheap to get a cheap flight and bring it in yourself. Good luck!!
