Flytter til utlandet - hva med vaksinasjonsprogrammet?

Hei!

 

Vi flytter mest sannsynlig til Malaysia for 3 år fra høsten av. Da vil vår yngste datter være 3 måneder gammel. Er det noen som vet hvordan man følger opp vaksinering ved flytting til utland? Så vidt jeg husker skal barnet ha ganske mange vaksiner i løpet av de to første årene....

I know that many countries have similar programs (I'm from Australia and the only difference between Norway and Aus regarding vaccines for example is the age that MMR/2 yrs vaccinations are given, and that Australia provides Hep B and Pneumococcal vaccines). There are MANY vaccines between birth and 2 years- your best bet is to go to a helse stasjon and see if a helsesøster can give you a list of those usual in Norway. Then give the Malaysian embassy a call to check if the Malaysian vaccination program corresponds with the Norwegian, and find out how the system works over there regarding vaccines for kids. This is what we did before moving back to Australia with our 2 month old daughter at the time. That's the only help I can be of- may be there are some others will other suggestions?

Actually Rinn is right - those programs are often similar. I compared it with vaccination program in Latvia (soon moving form LV to NO), only few small differences.

If the program does not correspond, you can arrange with your helsestasjon or family physician so that they either give you a prescription, or give you the correct dosage and program, to take with you.
