Hello,

it's nice to see there are more Aussies around than I actually would have thought there would be here :) So you are due in July? I'm due in October, I can't believe I'm already over the half way mark- this pregnancy has just flown for me. How's your pregnancy going? Are you living in Oslo?

Rinn,

Yes living in Oslo. Getting bigger all the time and at the moment feel extremely pregnant! Although with only 5 weeks to go this is probably expected. Unfortunately we are doing renovations so am actually living with my mother-in-law at the moment. Renovations still have 3 weeks to go so I am hoping that we move in before this baby comes. We don't know if we are having a boy or a girl yet as we are waiting for the surprise. Unfortunately we have been so busy organising everything for our apartment we still haven't bought anything. So this weekend hopefully we can get some basics.

I think, although they say pregnancy is long, mine has also gone very quickly. Feel like too quickly! Haven't thought enough about the changes it will have on my life so m uch, but looking forward to being a mother.

How are you going with everything?

Hi :)

we left a lot of our baby shopping for our first to the last month also (we lived in a 2 roms leil that was quite small- I didn't want to cramp it up before I had too- being so big and bulky in such a small environment :).

I wouldn't worry about not having the time now to think about the changes bubs will bring, having a baby is a life changing experience in general, no-one can ever be 100% prepared for the changes to come. No-one knows how their bubs is going to be- collicy, content, etc... until they're born- and each baby is extremely different (that's what I'm dwelling on this time around). My first was easy going (except the first 2 months after birth- they are always a challenge); this one in the belly now is already more active than my first was at this stage of pregnancy... will just have to wait and see how it all goes :) I'm really looking forward to meeting this little one already though! We found out with both what we're having- we already have a little girl, and this one is a boy :)

We are moving permanently back to Aus next year, which is taking up a lot of time now with organising (my hubby's residency visa, finding good priced plane tickets, organising a container, etc...). But we're getting there.

How are you going with baby names by the way? We are really stuck...

Hello again,

Well we drove to Sweden on Sunday and actually managed to buy a few things, so now feel a little bit more organised. We also hope to move back to Australia next year, but will be late in the year & my husband still needs some pushing! As far as names go we looked through a naming book. I secretly wrote down 10 boys and girls names. Then my husband did the same. Then we compared and found some that were on both our lists. So it worked out quite easily. If I didn't like the name I just said it with a bad Australian accent and it got crossed off :-)

Our apartment is not getting finished in a hurry so have been stressed! Would have liked to be in and organising things by now.

I have the feeling I am having a boy, which I think are the hardest names to pick. I think it's good not to have any difficult Norwegian letters in the name and make sure it can be pronounced and sounds good in both languages. Australians will shorten any name anyway.

Hello,

sorry it's taken so long to reply, we've been on vacation (went to Stavanger to visit family and then off to Ireland- which was absolutely fantastic). You must be getting really close to birthing now, how are you going? And your apartment, is that shaping up ok? And I really agree with you about boy names being harder to pick... we are still struggling along with that one. My hubby has finally sat down and had a quick flick through some name web pages, so now it's a matter of talking a little more seriously about them. We'll get there :)

You'll have to let me know when you've given birth, it's not that far away now- if it hasn't already happened :)

Take care,
