Alltid usikker+2 prinsesser Skrevet 24. desember 2009 #1 Skrevet 24. desember 2009 Is there anyone else here that misses celebrating Christmas on Christmas Day, with a santa claus that comes in the night while you "sleep". I am so nostalgic for my childhood that i get extremely melancholy during the holidays. I would love to celebrate Christmas in my way for once. Would give anything to be at home in the US for Christmas. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all!!
Anonym bruker Skrevet 25. desember 2009 #2 Skrevet 25. desember 2009 Hi! We do it both ways... norwegian christmas on the 24th, and canadian christmas on the 25th with stockings and all! Best of both worlds Merry Christmas!
shari_z Skrevet 30. desember 2009 #3 Skrevet 30. desember 2009 Hi! I also miss celebrating Christmas like I remember from home! This year I refused to make dinner on the 24th, saving it instead for the 25th. Just once I wish we could do the whole thing the American way; we do it the Norwegian way all the time. I'd like my kiddos to know what it was like for me as a child. Maybe next year? Happy New Year!
Sandida Skrevet 2. januar 2010 #4 Skrevet 2. januar 2010 Hello It is not only in America where you celebrate Christmas on the 25th with presents, big brunch/dinner, Santa Klaus...etc. In France were I grow up, we celebrate also the same way and I miss it here. Specially for my son I would love to keep some tradition from my childhood. I'll promised myself, we fly to France next year for Christmas :-) Happy 2010 Sandra
