English DIB-Treff 13 May at noon, Gullaug/Lier

Inviting all English speaking mammas, native speakers or otherwise, to join us for a walk at Gullaugkleivene on Wednesday, 13 May at noon. We are two American mommies who would like to speak English with others (we are both fluent in Norwegian), and hopefully influence our kids to speak English - at least to us. :-) Bring your lunch as we stop to eat along the way. We don't walk real fast (I have got problems with my pelvis after my birth), but we have a good time.

Sounds like it would have been a lot of fun, but am based in west-central Oslo without a car, so a bit hard to join you!

We will be taking a break for the summer as I am traveling home, but you are welcome to meet up with us another time. There are trains that go from Oslo to Drammen (surprise, surprise!) and I would be happy to meet you at the station. The local trains stop in Lier, which is just a short drive to where we like to walk. We have also been meeting at Gulskogen Gård in Drammen, easily accessible by train/bus.

 

We'd love to have you along! And don't be anonymous next time. That makes it so much harder to meet each other. :-)

Hi TrengerEnVenn,

 

I am on holiday still in Texas, and part of our "group" will leave on holiday shortly after I return to Norway, but we can meet anyhow. There is another one I know of who'd like to join in with her baby girl.

 

I have two girls, age 8 years and 9.5 months. I'm 39 and have lived in Norway almost 10 years.

 

I'll post here when we have our next meeting!
