Where can I find sweet potatoes in Bergen?

Meny (at the central bus station, among others) and large ICA stores usually have sweet potatoes. Make sure you get the right kind, sometimes the stores sell very large ones with a more pinkish than orange-tinted skin - these are white on the inside and don't taste quite the same. They're sometimes mixed with the "normal" ones, so scrape off a bit of skin to be certain.

 

If you're lucky the cashier will be slightly clueless and ring the sweet potatoes up as ordinary potatoes (which cost much less)
