*Little Miss Sunshine* Skrevet 21. mai 2008 #1 Skrevet 21. mai 2008 ... who miss living in Britain? We moved to Norway last July and I really love living here, but I still sometimes miss Edinburgh and Britain in general... the people, the food and speaking English... and just some undefinable something Well, I'll just have to go back for a holiday soon
nybebis Skrevet 22. mai 2008 #2 Skrevet 22. mai 2008 Hia. I lived in the UK for 9 years and have been back in Norway for 3,5 years now. I still miss the people, the humour, the TV,the Guardian, the Deli-shops and the pubs! But the work I have would mean that I couldn't have been a working mum there and I wouldn't have had my family colse to help with the little ones, so all in all I'm glad to be home ;o)
Chari Skrevet 6. juni 2008 #3 Skrevet 6. juni 2008 Yes I miss it sometimes (I've been here 3 years now - and no trips back!) I miss decent takeaway curries and pizza, though that may be a very local thing, and sometimes feel I'm the only parent around who says no to her child and expects it to take any notice but I don't miss the crime and the level of fear for your kids. I guess there's good and bad in every place Feel free to mail me tho if the lack of Englishness ever gets overwhelming. We lived in Scotland for a year before we finally did the big emigration to Bergen so you can reminisce about the weather to me LOL.
