I`m sorry too read that we norwegians are hard to get too know, although its no surpirse, i think it is hard as well and I`m from Norway! I live in Fredrikstad and would be more than happy to be to meet up with somebody or write mails, and I bet there are more norwegians in here that would like to be friends!! Everybody needs friends!!

I have two children a boy(2y) and a girl (4y) and will hopefully have another in november

have a perfect day, looking forward too hear from a new friend!!!

Hear hear!!! It took my british boyfriend almost three years to find a group of his own close friends when we first moved to Norway.

I am a Norwegian girl born to Pakistani parents. I have lived almost all my life in England... I studied there... and came back to Norway just a couple of years ago. It has not been really easy to find friends here, since most of the people hang out with the groups they have known forever...

I'm also hopefully going to be a November Mom Karenulv, and I have a little girl who's nearly three also. Sadly I'm in Bergen area but would love to get to know some Moms there if anyone's around.. I've found it very hard to make friends here in the 3 years we've been here. I think I should have worked harder at keeping acquaintances I made but didn't realise it at the time..

I am Scottish living in Oslo. Have been here for 6 years now. I am married to a Norwegian and have a 1 year old daughter. It is tricky to find a group. I still only have a very small group of friends and they are mostly foreign. My Norwegian friends all tend to be my husbands friends!

Always hear that there are masses of Scots in Oslo but I am finding that hard to believe as in 6 years I have only met 3!!!!

Always on the look out for new friends!

I live in Bergen and had lived here 11 years. I have mostly norwegian friends and have found it also very difficult to maintain friendships with work colleagues etc. I am pregnant now with number 3, I have two boys aged 5 and 3 and due in November. I live very near Lagunen. So maybe we could meet for a coffee?

Wow.. so glad to read this forum. I thought i was the only one thinking that its really hard to find friends here in Norway. Infact, Norwegeans are nice people. I like them. But theyr kinda cold peopl thou, hard to know them, yes. I have been living here in NOrway in almost 5 years and still havent found a norwegean frend, i know many but not really as frends that you can talk about each other n hang out with. I have been very depressed for years, but now im getting better. Trying to help myself by going out and joining some mother-baby activities. I have a son, 1 yr old :-)

Hope i can meet you guys, i would love to!

Hey!

I am a Norwegian girl with a Canadian husband. We just moved back to Norway after a few years in Canada. Live just outside Oslo. Let's just say that getting friends in Canada wasn't that easy either, everyone everywhere seem to busy with their own lives/families!!!
