DelabeB Skrevet 9. november 2007 #1 Skrevet 9. november 2007 Hello Everyone! I have a wonderful, chatty nearly 3 year old son. He speaks a good 90% in Norwegian (he goes to barnehage!), and understands nearly everything in English---but as the only source of English for him, it is tough for me to encourage him to speak more in English. Many experts have told me that one of the best ways to encourage the second langauge is to have peers, or playmates, that also use the language--they have to see that someone else uses the language other than Mamma! I have loads of english speaking friends, but their kids are either in the same boat as mine, or their kids are too old or too young for my son! Is there anyone in Trondheim, or in a drivable area, that has kids that speak English around this age? A bit older or younger is fine! We could meet a couple of times a month maybe---not to mention we could have fun chatting too! We could go for tours or coffee dates, or just meet at a playground somewhere! I can come to you too It would really be great because I think he is just reaching the age when language is becoming very important and he is picking it up so quickly! Love to hear from you!
