The father of my child left me when i found out that i was pregnent,

I know his full name, and date of birth, and the town he livs in, in england.

But he dont whant to sign any papers, and he is not telling his parents about his son. anywone knows how i can get his adress, phon nr? or his parents? i think that its really emportend to tell his parents that they have a grand son in norway.

How sad that you got involved with a man you dont even know the adress of his parents.

 

What you can do, is to call the local social services office in the town he lives. They will be able to help you with the rest, I am sure. You should get a norwegian lawyer, and get a DNA test requested. This is very important for the next step.

I'm not sure how it works for mothers and children who are in another country but in the UK the Child Support Agency is the official organisation that tracks down absent fathers (or mothers) and determines how much maintenance they should pay to the parent with custody, it also has measures to force them to pay even if they don't want to, once paternity has been proved.

Regner med at du er norsk, så svarer på norsk. Men når det gjelder England-Norge, så kan det by på problemer med barnebidrag fordi England følger egne regler som sjelden går i favør barnets mor som bor i Norge. Dette har jeg fra en advokat, for jeg er i samme situasjon.

Det du kan gjøre, som jeg har gjort, er å ta kontakt med nav i kommunen din og be dem om hjelp. Da trenger du bare å oppgi de opplysingene du har (du kan se om du finner adressen hans via gulesider.no, eller 1881.no). Hvis du oppgir ham som far så vil de gjøre det de kan for å finne ham. Det er iallefall det de har sagt til meg.
