marina&anna-elisabeth Skrevet 5. november 2006 #1 Skrevet 5. november 2006 Im wondering if some one was traveling with the baby at 5 mnd ? how was it?
Manhattan skyline Skrevet 5. november 2006 #2 Skrevet 5. november 2006 Yeah, I have. It was no problem at all. The flight time was an hour and a half. I always try to book a flight that has take off at the same time as my kid's first or second nap. And then I gave him milk, and he fell asleep. Didn't sleep all the way, but every minute helps! :-) Some of the aircrafts also has got a sort of flap-table in the bathroom for changing dipers etc. This will be no problem! :-) Ps. My boy never had ear problem, but some babies do. But you should give the baby milk at take off and landing, cause swallowing may prevent the pain. Good luck!

Manhattan skyline Skrevet 5. november 2006 #4 Skrevet 5. november 2006 Oh.. and one other thing! I don't know which company you are flying with, but if it's one with free seating, go in the back, and sit down on the seat closest to the isle. People tend to like to sit in the front, so if the plane isn't full, you may get two or maybe even three seats for yourself. I've been lucky a couple of times, and believe me, it helps a lot!!! :-)
Retro-mamma Skrevet 5. november 2006 #5 Skrevet 5. november 2006 My baby-girl cried A LOT when we travelled with plane when she was 3 mnd old. I was so stressed. But then the stuertess told me afterwards that the babies actually cry (LOUD) when they need to take out the ear-pressure. So that's a comfort...a bit... when they cry, it will be better... Just make sure you don't start breastfeeding (if you do) too early. I started immediatly when plane started to drive - and baby was finished to eat long before plane was in the air...big mistake. Start to breastfeed when the plane starts to move very quickly.
