I hope here is someone who could explain something about child benefit in English, because I could not find the information I needed in NAV homepage. I and my ex-husband have 2 daughters ( 5 and 3 y/o ). I have full custody for kids, he has visitation rights but he has not seen them in almost 3 years. He does not pay child support. I live with the children abroad, never been in Norway, but he works there about 6 months/ a year. He applied for child benefit, as I understood then the NAV didn't ask for any proof that he even supports or sees his kids, they only needed birth certificate. Is this really right, as it would suppose to happen? That non-custodian parent who does not see his kids, does not pay child support, can get CHILD BENEFIT? I am worried because then I would be cut off of my home-country's child benefit for my 2 little girls. Also, I feel sick to my stomach about all this. And if this is not right, he should not receive benefits for children that he does not live with, nor spend time with, nor nothing - what can I do from abroad? I will be really thankful is someone could explain this to me! Thank You! Lenke til kommentar https://forum.klikk.no/foreldre/topic/144333813-child-benefit/ Del på andre sider Flere delingsvalg…
