Anonym bruker Skrevet 30. august 2010 #1 Del Skrevet 30. august 2010 Hi, Are you a new mother/father living in Norway, but not from Norway? Feel like you don't fit in at the helsestasjon and that the helsesøster doesn't really understand you? Would you like to learn more about parenting and at the same time, meet other international parents living in Norway? I am a nurse and community child health nurse (helsesøster) from Australia. I have met quite a few new mothers who haven't been able to go to the group sessions at the helsestasjons here, because they don't understand norwegian yet etc. For people who don't speak Norwegian, or those of you who do, but would like to meet other people from different countries living in Bergen, I have started up a 'new parents group' in english. The groups are a five week course where each week has a different theme, ranging from 'bonding with your child', 'child development', 'introducing solids' etc, and a bit of information is given as well as discussion between the parents. It's a great way to get the information you are needing as well as meet new parents in the same situation and area as you. If this sounds interesting, or you know someone who might be interested, please contact me at [email protected]. I also have a facebook page called 'English speaking parents in Bergen' with a bit more information on it.
