Mammatil2søteprinsesser<3 Skrevet 15. september 2008 #1 Skrevet 15. september 2008 Any input/comments? Boy: #1 Sebastian #2 Taylor #3 Callum #4 James #5 Cooper Girl: #1 MacKenzie #2 Morgan #3 Avery #4 Alexis My husband is Norwegian and we live in Scotland.
Gjest Skrevet 15. september 2008 #3 Skrevet 15. september 2008 I prefer Sebastian and Taylor for a boy. Of the girl's names, I could have used Alexis, maybe Avery. What about Alexia? That's really beautiful, though. From my point of view, Morgan is a boy's name?
Mammatil2søteprinsesser<3 Skrevet 15. september 2008 Forfatter #4 Skrevet 15. september 2008 Alexia is out of the question as my brother in law and sister just had a little babygirl named Alexandria... I know that Alexis is a diminutive form of Alexandria and so to speak the same name.... Still, we have both fallen in love with it! What about Avery then? Would that work better you think? I believe Morgan is both a girls and a boys name, just like Taylor... Not to mention Avery.... Hmm... I like them anyway...My sister wants me to name the baby Annelise... It's a nice name... But I don't know... Lol... Thanks anyway!
Gjest Skrevet 15. september 2008 #5 Skrevet 15. september 2008 I really liked Avery, sort of similar to my own daughter's name, which is Ava. I think it's of importance that the name "works out" in Norway too, since the baby's dad is from here.. What about other international names such as Sophia, Ella, Sarah, Victoria, Lucia? Or Benjamin, William, Oskar, Lucas?
Gjest Skrevet 16. september 2008 #7 Skrevet 16. september 2008 I think Cooper is a pretty cool name. I like Copper and Sebastian out of the boy's names. Avery is beautiful and I like MacKenzie as well. Alexis is alright, but I also like Alexia better. Are you planning on staying in Scotland? If not I might have picked names that will work better in Norway. My husband is American and our kids' names are Ella, Sofia, Jenny and Isak. We also thought about names like Leah, Matilda, Otilia, Kaya, Isabella, Milla, Cecilia, Natalia, William, Benjamin, Jakob, Noah, Liam, Luka, Oliver and Teodor.
Vannmann35 Skrevet 16. september 2008 #8 Skrevet 16. september 2008 Boy: #1 Sebastian - boring, to common... #2 Taylor - to outlandish... #3 Callum - to outlandish... #4 James - sounds terrible in Norwegian... #5 Cooper - to outlandish... Girl: #1 MacKenzie - No, no, no - way to outlandish #2 Morgan - boys name in Norway #3 Avery - sounds like a boys name + to outlandish #4 Alexis - Oh no - makes me think of Joan Collins...

Vil Skrevet 18. september 2008 #10 Skrevet 18. september 2008 Its dificult to find names that work out in both english and norwegian I guess. The only name over that works in norwegian is Sebastian. I like the name Sebastian. What about some more traditional names? For a girl: names like Hannah, Sara, Maria, Ingrid, Lucia, Marianne, Kristine, Sofia, Louise, They are all quite common, but since they are "clasical" names, I don´t think they could get outdated. And for a boy it´s maybe even harder. But what about August, Oskar, Julius, Lukas, Julian, Henrik, Jonas, Kristian, Tristan, Markus... Best of luck finding something!
