Har bodd i USA i fem år nå og har ennå ikke funnet ut av om de selger grønnsåpe her. Liker dette produktet veldig godt og lurer på om noen vet hva det heter på engelsk om det faktisk eksisterer i USA?

I am sure they sell it in other countries, and they sell many different name brands of it in the US, but the most popular and best quality brand name is "Pine Sol"

I've learned something new. I've been here 23 years. Not that I ever used grønnsåpe in Norway or use Pine-Sol here, but...... Is that really so strange?

it is strange when she says " I have been here for 5 years and have still not found...." It sounds like she actually has tried to actively looked for it and not found it, so in that case - yes! I lived in the US for 15 years and never used pine sole either, but I was not 'trying to find it either. If I did it would not be that hard to find. A little difference there.

Pine-Sol? I would never have guessed. My American husband thinks our Norwegian love of grønnsåpe is so hilarious that it simply never occurred to me that it actually existed in the US!

Sorry for resurrecting an old thread, but this is now the first hit on Google when searching for a translation of «grønnsåpe», so I´d like to point out that this answer is wrong.

Here are the ingredients in the original Pine-Sol:

Grønnsåpe is supposed to contain a completely different set of ingredients:

That is, fat and potassium hydroxide (kaliumhydroksid).
